These cabinets come in a wide variety of styles and finishes, so you can easily find a look that fits your taste. In addition, RTA cabinets are very affordable, making them a great option for those on a budget.

One of the biggest advantages of RTA cabinets is that they are effortless to install. RTA cabinets come with pre-drilled holes and all the necessary hardware, so you can usually get them assembled in just a few hours.

Overall, kitchen RTA cabinets are a great option for anyone who wants to update their kitchen without spending a lot of money. They are easy to install and very durable, making them a wise choice for those on a budget.

Is RTA good quality?

Yes, they are of excellent quality. The RTA Cabinet Store uses only plywood or MDF/HDF, never particle board! Partical board can easily be damaged by water exposure.

Living with three kids I knew that partial board was not an option in my new kitchen. Drinks spill all the time! We opted for the “Devon” line because of the hardwood structure. RTA cabinet doors are made of a variety of hardwoods, so whatever your taste, RTA will have something for you!

If you’re fond of high-end, custom-made kitchen base cabinets, these ready to assemble cabinets will surely suit your aesthetics.

Plus, if we talk about the convenience and affordability they bring along, they are truly the best cabinets online. So, don’t miss out because these cabinets will make you say, “money well spent”.

Are RTA Cabinets Worth the Money?

Ready to assemble (RTA) cabinets can be a great value if you want to save money on your kitchen remodel. The cabinets come in a kit and are easy to assemble – typically, all you need are glue and a drill.

I’m seriously beside myself with the quality of these cabinets. I was able to get my dream kitchen for a fraction of what I would have paid somewhere else!

How Much do you Save with RTA Cabinets?

On average, you can save 30-50% on the cost of your kitchen cabinets when you purchase them as ready to assemble (RTA) cabinets.

How Sturdy are RTA Cabinets?

RTAs boast sleek and sturdy plywood construction – you’ll admire their durability and pleasant layouts. Since plywood and hardwood don’t swell and warp when exposed to excessive moisture, you don’t have to worry about their longevity.

RTA cabinets are as sturdy as their custom-made solid wood counterparts, and sometimes even better.

But if you’re not careful while installing RTA kitchen cabinets, it’s easy to end up with an unstable cabinetry. Here are a few tips to help you build sturdy, stable RTA kitchen cabinets:

  • Make sure the bases of your cabinets are level. This is essential for stability and preventing the doors from sagging or not closing properly.
  • Use shims to level the cabinet if necessary. Shims are thin pieces of wood or metal that you can insert between the cabinet and the wall to level it out.
  • Protect these cabinets from moisture and ensure your kitchen has good ventilation to keep these cupboards safe.

Cons

Having to Build Them Yourself

The upside to RTA cabinetry is that you can customize the cabinets to your own liking and get them exactly how you want them.

However, the downside is that it takes quite a bit of time to put them together – often much longer than it would take to simply buy pre-assembled cabinets.

Added supplies – glue, brackets, etc

This can often be tedious and frustrating, especially if you’re not handy. If you don’t feel confident about your ability to put the cabinets together, it’s probably best to hire a professional. Otherwise, you run the risk of ending up with subpar results.
